Сваминараян Акшардхам: самый большой индуистский храм в мире (Индия)
Этот храм открылся всего восемь лет назад, в 2005-ом. Более трех тысяч строителей и еще 7 тысяч мастеров из разных уголков станы строили Сваминараян Акшардхам в течение пяти лет. В итоге им удалось соорудить необычайно величественную конструкцию (высота 42 метра, длинна 106 метров, а ширина 94 метра), которая стала украшением города. Девять красивых куполов переливаются на солнце и заставляют глаза буквально слепнуть от такой красоты, а множество колонн вызывают восхищение тонкой работой. На колоннах можно увидеть порядка 20 тысяч фигур с сюжетами, которые были взяты из традиционной индийской мифологии.
Отделочные работы велись вручную от начала и до конца. Снаружи Сваминараян Акшардхам обложен розовым камнем, а внутри белым мрамором. Значения этих цветов следующие: белый цвет – это чистота и мир, а розовый в Индии символизирует веру. Выдающиеся размеры позволили Акшардхаму войти в Книгу Рекордов Гиннеса как самое большое индуистское культовое сооружение. Комплекс, куда входят не только храм, но и музей, парки, культурный центр, водные каналы, кафе и магазины, а также множество других заведений, занимает порядка двенадцати гектаров и тут можно бродить часами.
Стоимость Сваминараян Акшардхам составляет примерно полмиллиарда долларов США, причем все эти деньги были собраны за счет добровольных пожертвований. В итоге можно с уверенностью говорить о том, что это самый «народный» храмовый комплекс в Индии.
Вода, которая сейчас заполняет искусственные каналы и озера на территории комплекса, была взята из 151 водоема в разных концах страны, что должно символизировать ее единство.
Каждый вечер здесь можно увидеть красочное шоу с танцующими фонтанами, которые расположены внутри огромной чаши, композиция которой повторяет форму лотоса.
Вход на территорию достопримечательности бесплатен, только придется пройти через осмотр сотрудниками службы безопасности. С собой можно взять только паспорт и деньги, все остальное сдается в камеру хранения на время посещения достопримечательности. Фотографировать внутри храма запрещено.
